The unifan sliding mechanism is made out of cheap plastic so when connecting two fans together it damages the clips.
These fans are poorly made, on some of my fans there are some bumps on the edges of the fan blades looks like some sort of manufacturing issue. Unfortunately that’s only the good points about these fans. The daisy chain design is a dream with cable management. You either love or hate the design of these fans, I think they are the best looking fans on the market. ~£75 for 3 RGB fans, which uses only 1 fan header and 1 USB header (FYI it needs a SATA cable too for power) This seems to be the case for most of the settings, but a few light options seemed to meddle with the fan speed and I didn't quite understand why.Īll in all, I'm very happy with the money spent. Considering the controller is connected via a fan header i was hoping the MOBO would continue to control them.
The only downside I can find, is that the L connect software messed with my fans more than I would like. The finished product is awesome! They look awesome and they run quietly as long as you dont accidentally click 100% fan speed. Getting my rear fan to it was a little tricky but I got there! Due to the thickness of the controller I couldn't mount it on the 2.5" bay. The only slight issue I had was finding somewhere for the controller which both front AND back could reach. I bought the set of three, but I actually fitted one at the rear of the case and 2 at the front. Luckily, you can use the USB 2.0 connections on your MOBO so I was a happy man!! What I didn't quite realise was that the controller is almost definitely required, but once wired up is pretty cool! I bought them in haste as I saw they could clip together, without realising they were Argb.
But of course you can always fit the fans the other way up -). It's worth noting, when you click the cables onto the fans it can only go on one end of the fan array. Clipping the fans together couldn't have been easier. The fans look at feel top dollar! I was more than pleased with these.
